FET 380A: Creating WordPress Training – Erlanger – Saturday, October 14th – 10:15am-1:15pm EST

$35.00

Part 2 of Building Your First Online Course includes prework, postwork, and a 3 hour face to face training. We will explore in depth how to use WordPress to build an On Demand course platform. You’ll make decisions about setting up your platform and accepting payments for courses. Setting up a course platform is required to complete the activities within this course. We will guide you through the process and share free and paid options you may choose for your course platform and LMS.

During the face to face day, we’ll help you with the installation and setup of your platform, and getting started with creating your course. By the end of Part 2, you will create, receive feedback on, and be ready to list your first On Demand course in ECE-TRIS.

This registration is to attend the face to face portion of the training in Erlanger, Kentucky on Saturday, October 14th.

We recommend you take only one version of the Part 2 course, so that you can focus your time and energy on mastering that platform.
If you are wanting to create a course website or training business website for yourself, or in collaboration with other trainers, and you want to automatically accept payments and enroll users, we suggest Wordpress. If you want to offer courses to an internal audience, only offer online courses occasionally, and/or don’t mind manually enrolling users and accepting payments, Canvas might be the better choice.  Inital costs for both options could be nearly free depending upon what choices you make.

*Completion of FET 370 Beyond Fundamentals: Introduction to Developing and Facilitating Online Training and FET 380, Part 1 is required before you can take this course.
