Navigating Bias and Difficult Content

Course Description: CHFS/DCBS Division of Administration and Financial Management (DAFM) handles benefits, assets, income, liabilities, and more for adult individuals who have been court-appointed to the State Guardianship Program. 

During your work for these individuals, you may encounter information within an individual’s case file that is of a difficult and possibly traumatic nature. 

This course prepares staff in the Division of Administration and Financial Management to recognize and manage personal bias, handle difficult or traumatic content in guardianship case files, and protect confidentiality under HIPAA.
