Course Significance:
Professional caregivers play a critical role in the lives of patients who are unable to care for themselves. The demands of their jobs can lead to physical, emotional and mental exhaustion, resulting in burnout. Surveys have shown that more than 40% of nurses and home health aides have experienced burnout. This course looks at how to recognize the warning signs of burnout and techniques to cope with the stresses that cause burnout.
