Purpose for Kentucky All STARS

Purpose

The purpose of Kentucky All STARS is to increase quality in all early care and education programs including child care, Head Start, and public preschool that receive public funding.

Kentucky All Stars will:

  1. Enhance the quality of early care and education settings for all children throughout the state of Kentucky.
  2. Incorporate standards that will promote school readiness for all children through the addition of assessment and screening standards.
  3. Ensure that quality care will be available to all children, especially children at risk because of a variety of circumstances.

By the end of this course, you will:

  1. Be introduced to the Kentucky All STARS standards.
  2. Gain a better understanding of Kentucky All STARS and the standards.
  3. Know what resources and supports are available through All STARS.
