I had a trainer ask me just yesterday about using Zoom for a training in which the child care site would be receiving the live Zoom feed from the trainer through a Smartboard/projector set up.
Have any of you done this kind of thing before?
If so, would you have any tips/cautions to offer about doing a live webinar event this way?
I’m excited to share the information about zoom breakout rooms and backgrounds that was great! the Canva was a bit confusing… I set up an account but didn’t find it under friendly.
If a Zoom session will be viewed on a SMART Board, it’s more or less being used as a projector. This is helpful for a large audience (vs. everyone hunched around a laptop screen). The laptop can connect to the side of the SMART Board. Whatever activity is happening on the laptop will be mirrored on the SMART Board. Please note, as with any projector, be sure that the lighting is low enough to see the image on the SMART Board. You may also choose to get external speakers to hear what is being said on the Zoom call.

I’m sorry. I do not have any experience with this. I have never had a Smartboard in my classroom or been in a center where one was used for trainings.
I have not used Zoom in that capacity yet, but would be interested in hearing tips from others who have.
