The Best Day Ever: How to Incorporate Gratitude into Daily Living, May 4, 2021

It’s easy to go through life without gratitude, when you get used to “the way things are”. At work, you just expect the trash cans to be emptied and refreshed. You just expect the toilets to be clean. You just expect the paper work to be filed correctly in the filing system, or that the remote will always be placed back next to the TV. If we practice going to work, or home, or wherever as a GUEST, it could help us experience more moments of gratitude. Imagine what it feels like to live in Italy. You might get used to seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa and never say, “Oooh..Ahhh”. It doesn’t dazzle you – AT ALL. Then, someone from America comes and is flipping for joy, taking selfies and ussies in front of it! The people from America are guests who are passing through. Consider that things in your world are fabulous and exciting by acting in the mindframe of a guest!

Gratitude is such an important trait to acquire and share with others. I created a facebook page called Foucs on SEL Adults and it has helped all of us keep that gratitude in our daily lives.
