Staff with competency in this area will facilitate meetings and interactions in a respectful, professional manner that aligns with person-centered principles and with the preferences of each person. Their primary focus will remain on the priorities and perspectives of the person. If the person desires to expand their circle, compentent staff will support them in doing so- while also encouraging all members of the team to make meaningful contributions. Staff should be committed to being transparent and ensuring everyone can understand the supports- and the process for accessing them- for the person.
