Outside of Business Hours Procedures

There are situations that arise when individuals under guardianship need assistance on holidays or outside of regular business hours.

In the event that an individual needs emergency assistance outside of regular business hours, all DAIL Guardianship Regions have a dedicated afterhours crisis line thru New Vista. This line is available for after hour emergencies from 4:30pm to 8:00am EST, including weekends and holidays. 

Examples of emergencies – elopements, arrests, medical emergency, death, etc.

Guardianship Supervisors are on call and may be contacted by crisis line staff when assistance is required. If the crisis line is unable to reach the Supervisor, they may call the Branch Manager, Assistant Director or Division Director for needed support.
