GField 28 – Transportation of an Individual Under Guardianship

As the legal guardian for an individual, DAIL may assist with arranging transportation to needed services as long as the individual has funds or benefits to cover the transportation costs. A facility that provides regulated supervision and transportation will be responsible for ensuring transportation arrangements.  

At no time should guardianship staff transport an individual in their personal vehicle, and state vehicles shall only be used by state employees for conducting official state business.
