Topic 3: Why does age matter in how I invoice Extended Services?

Woman with Down syndrome smiling happily while working as a shopkeeper in a grocery store. Empowered woman with an intellectual disability restocking food products in a supermarket.

If you are supporting a “youth with a disability,” someone aged 14 – 24, you can submit monthly invoices, at $80/hour, for the Extended Services you provide from Day 1 – Day 90 of Stable Employment.

These hourly billable rates are ONLY available to “youth with a disability.”

For everyone, regardless of age, you will:

  • Submit Extended Service plans at Days 1, 45 and 90
    • These tell the VR Counselor how you plan to support the employee
  • Submit Monthly Extended Service Reports for 90 days
    • These tell the VR Counselor how things are going regarding maintaining stable employment

Once the final 90 Day Extended Service Plan is sent and the $3,000 invoice paid, OVR may close the case.
